The Dervish Garden - a CD Project

The Dervish Garden.

The Dervish is one who stands at the door of the Divine Beloved, waiting to be called into the chamber of intimacy. Before the door is the Dervish Garden, in which the Dervish calls longingly to the Beloved. Here the seeker sometimes plunges into the agonies of separation, and at other moments ascends to the heights of ecstacy. In an instant one may witness in him/her the placidity of still waters and the next moment the restlessness of a storm. All these nuances of timeless wisdom have been captured by the great souls that have experienced spiritual ascension, enshrined for posterity in poetic renderings.

The Dervish Garden opens to you the great vista of this spiritual treasure of poetic verse coming from the depths of the Persian, Turkish, Urdu and Punjabi Sufi Hearts.

We invite you to enter and take a stroll down this timeless and placeless garden path.

This is a project to promote the poetry of the Sufi Mystics from the regions of Pakistan, India, Turkey and Persia. A CD is under production. Those interested can listen to a sample here:
